MR. HENN TAN
From its humble beginnings as a small family-owned electronic parts trading business, Mr Tan has been the inspirational founder and leader of Trek 2000 since its inception in 1995. Then, he had to overcome the challenges of securing financing from banks, recruiting staff, and convincing big companies to engage the Group’s services. Ever the resilient leader, Mr Tan pressed on, and in 1998, the company was appointed the design house for Toshiba.
Instrumental in inventing the ubiquitous thumb drive which would revolutionise the global portable media storage industry, Mr Tan saw Trek through its listing on the Singapore Exchange in 2000. By July 2013, Mr Tan had built up the Group’s portfolio of patents to 380, while setting up offices across the world. Along the way, his guidance led to several notable awards as the Group was named one of the “Best Small Companies in the World” by Forbes in 2000 and 2002, and the “Best Managed Small Company in Singapore” by AsiaMoney in 2003.
As Chairman Emeritus, Mr Tan continues to chart the Group’s long-term strategy while maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
MR. WAYNE TAN
President and Executive Director
Wayne Tan is the founder, a shareholder and a director of CloudStringers, a subsidiary of the Company, since 2012 and was responsible for the overall Marketing and Sales, Planning and Strategy. Wayne led the online/web-based Cloud Stringers product and functional and User specification definitions, construction of technological and feature roadmap.
Today, Wayne is responsible for leading Management in building and developing the Group’s operations as well as strengthening its management structure for future growth and expansion.
Mr. Wayne Tan holds a Bachelor of Marketing & International Business from The University at Buffalo, State University of New York.
MR. KHOR PENG SOON
Non- Executive Chairman
Mr. Khor has been with Trek 2000 since 2013 and is now the Group’s Non-Executive Chairman bringing a wealth of experience to the Board of Directors.
He is also the Chairman of ONI Global Pte. Ltd. In this capacity, he provides strategic oversight over the company’s franchised GNC retail business in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan and investments in retail of nutrition and health products and services. He is also the Managing Director of JP Ying Advisory and the Executive Director of Reborne Pte Ltd. He sits on the board of another public listed company, Plastoform Holdings Limited and the boards of several other private companies.
Mr. Khor previously held senior management positions in Temasek Holdings, SembCorp, EY and the EDB. He holds a Master of Engineering Science (Industrial Engineering) degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
MR. CHAY YEE MENG
Independent Non-Executive Director
Mr. Chay Yee Meng, a Singapore Chartered Accountant (Fellow member), began his working career as an Audit and Tax Accountant with Arthur Young & Company (now known as Ernst & Young) in 1980 immediately after he earned his degree in Accountancy from Nanyang University.
In 1982, he joined General Motors Singapore Finance department for five years handling accounting, costing and managing financial systems. In 1987, he was named Director and Financial Controller of SCI Manufacturing, then the largest US based electronics contract manufacturing company in the world. He was later named as SCI’s Asia Regional Controller.
In 1992, Mr. Chay co-founded Natsteel Electronics Pte Ltd, taking over a company which was about to be liquidated. As founding director and CFO of the company, Chay and his team of management, successfully turned the company into strong profitability and continued to grow the company for the next five years. In 1997, Natsteel Electronic Ltd ( NEL ) launched the largest IPO in Singapore with a market capitalization in excess of $700 million. In the following years, Chay was involved in setting up a number of overseas units via greenfield and M&A. That included the financing of such new setups in new equity and bond markets as well as corporate syndicated debt funding in excess of S$1 billion.
In 2000, NEL had become the 5th largest contract manufacturer in the world with revenue in excess of $ 2billion with subsidiaries in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, USA, UK, Hungary and Mexico. He had served as the Group CFO throughout those years. In 2001, NEL was taken private in a S$4 billion deal and merged into US-based Solectron Technology, Inc ( which was merged into Flextronics International Ltd). Chay then served as Solectron’s VP Finance, Asia-Pacific Region until 2003. With that Chay had managed the processes of turning around an ill company, IPO, expansion globally, and eventually M&A and de-listing.
Mr. Chay also co-founded ECS Holdings Ltd, and served as Founding Director and Group CFO until ECS went IPO in 2001 where he stayed on as a Board member and member of the Audit Committee. ECS grew from a $50m company into a $2.5 billion in 2008 when Mr Chay left the company after a spin-off of ECS to a HK listed company.
In 2003, Mr. Chay founded the InfoWave Group, an engineering company specialized in developing equipment and solutions using GPS, RFID and other wireless technologies to track objects and data. In 2010， the group re-focused and organized into an IT services group known as Autoscan Technology Group.
In 2009, Chay founded Infohub Solutions Pte Ltd, a company specialized in Business Intelligence and Corporate and Financial Information Integration.

Currently, Chay is Chairman and Executive Director of Autoscan Technology and Infohub involved in the provision of IT systems consultancy.
MR. KUAN MUN KWONG
Spearheading the Group’s global marketing and sales as well as strategic business since he joined Trek 2000 in 1999, Mun Kwong has more than 18 years’ experience in International Sales and more than 12 years’ experience in Engineering.
He has extensive knowledge of the global markets from US, Europe to Asia including Japan. He was also based in China’s Beijing and Shenzhen for 3 years to develop and establish partnerships. As an engineer, he was Thomson’s STAR performer and an inventor and holder to a patent.
Mun Kwong holds a Diploma in Electronics Engineering.
MR. JOHNNY YEO
Director of Finance
Mr. Yeo brings over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting to the Group. With a career that spans roles in small and medium-sized enterprises to regional positions with multinational and SGX-listed companies, Mr. Yeo is responsible for the Group’s overall finances. Mr Yeo has a diverse background having worked real estate and hospitality, trading and distribution, manufacturing, education as well as the marine and engineering industries.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Murdoch University.
MR. WILFRED WEE
President of Operations
With a career that spans more than thirty years at Panasonic, Mr Wee will take on a leadership role in spearheading the continued development of the Group’s operations. Mr Wee brings with him a wealth of experience in managing people and identifying new business opportunities.
In his last role as Executive Vice President of Panasonic Systems Asia Pacific, Mr Wee led a team of one hundred staff while heading sales and marketing initiatives in countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar New Zealand and Australia.
In line with Trek’s DNA as an industry trailblazer, Mr Wee has also worked closely with research and development teams across the globe, laying the groundwork for developing innovative solutions for customers.
